the journey begins

Since the invite which I had sent over a week ago, I have been obsessed in researching the routes for the trip. Initially I thought palawan would be a good way to start but figured bohol would be a better way to start the trip, i’ve been literally obsessed. Finding out in detail how to get there, how we will get there, the cost for each person, approximate stay and the ideal basic budget for each person, etc etc etc.

Then as I had just finished the detailed itinerary:

From Bohol to Cebu city to Bacolod City to Ilo Ilo to Puerto Princesa to El Nido then work our way north.

I read Tomas’s reply to Abels message in regards to suggesting places to visit:

Suggestion ko Manilla- bus to Ilocos-Pagudpud-Baba ng La Union-Abra-daan Baguio to Sagada and Banaue (dami nating friends diyan both LGU at tourism office)…then pa puntang Baler, Aurora to Casiguran(daming secluided beaches at daming fishies), may titirahan na tayo dun, dala lang tayo ng mga hammock/tents…tapos labas tayo ng quezon to sorsogon (whale sharks) tapos RORO tayo to Samar, kung saan pwede tayong mag-tent lang sa beach at mag-surf sa Catbalogan, Samar na madami din tayong surfer friends…tapos San Juanico Bridge Going to Leyte, and then pwede na tayo either mag-roro trace back to palawan or inter-island sa cebu-dumaguete-iloilo-guim -aras-bacolod, pero medyo expensive…may brod tayo sa purto princesa si Brod Mark Lim and friends ko din sa LGU at Palawan State U, who can also help us find places to stay…sa El Nido may kakilala din tayo jan who has a rest house we can stay at, we can take a bus (mas cheaper) fromn puerto princesa to el nido… dun natin tapusin ang trip..

And in all honesty re-reading Tomas’s route and telling Abel about it, he agreed it is more efficient and affordable and a great way to end the adventure. So I will just re-do research routes. At least now I know where we are going. To the journey!

take note: the invitation

mga brods and sisses,

happy new year sa inyo lahat!!! kamusta na kayo?! abel and i were planning to do a 2-3week backpacking trip across pinas around december, naisip namin kayo.

ang plano ay visiting secluded beaches, maybe even some snorkeling, some mountain climbing, sightseeing, eating local delicacies, overall discovering/rediscovering our motherland.

we are avoiding hotels and opting for the ultimate backpacking experience, tents, a lot of walking and maybe once in awhile we’ll treat ourselves to inexpensive resorts.

mga dating residente lang inimbita namin kasi there will be too much of us and to tell you all honestly you guys are our favorites, hahaha. Strictly AC only.

na-eexcite na ako para makasama kayong lahat at maki reconnect. sana makasama kayong lahat.
